We are blessed to have a wonderful team of people who come to help us each week in our kitchen, cafe and with our admin. Without them, we simply would not be able to produce the amount of food we do - or keep our kitchen clean and tidy. In our project's first year, over 30 people have volunteered with us! Take a look at our current crew and their motivations for doing what they do.
I'm from Monifieth and used to be a Maths teacher at St Saviours. When I retired I started cooking in a chalet in the French Alps. I play tennis and recently started paddle boarding. I'm really enjoying working in the volunteer kitchen.
I started Volunteering at the Roundhouse to help people who are less fortunate, in some way, than other people.
I started volunteering at the Roundhouse because I was fed up being at home all the time. Its amazing to see what can be accomplished with food that would otherwise go to waste. I enjoy the company here and singing and dancing along with the radio.
I started volunteering at the Roundhouse for a reference, but in my time here I have gained more skills and knowledge in the kitchen.
