Closing the Loop between Food Surplus and Food Hunger
The Roundhouse Kitchen and Café is a sustainable food project counteracting food waste located in Whitfield, Dundee.
The Roundhouse Kitchen helps close the loop between food waste and food insecurity by sending freshly-cooked meals each week to Dundee Foodbank and local food larders.
The kitchen is open throughout the week for staff and volunteers.

April 2024 - 2025 roundhouse kitchen community kitchen foodbanks and larder
Last year we saved an incredible 5622kg of surplus food from going to landfill! This is more than the weight of an average African elephant (5,443 kg according to World Wildlife Fund)
Last year we distributed 9002 meals to local food banks and larders in Dundee. This brings our total up to over 20,000 since we started in 2021!
