Meet the Roundhouse Community Kitchen & Cafe team who strive to make a difference in the lives of the community in Dundee! 

We have two members of staff and an amazing group of volunteers who help transform surplus food into hundreds of healthy, nutritious meals each week for local foodbanks and food larders.

Food Project Coordinator

"I joined Signpost as I love the whole idea behind the food project at the Roundhouse, taking surplus food that was going to be thrown out and turning it into meals. It is great that we can take the  surplus food and produce meals that can be given to those who need a little support and also create dishes that can be enjoyed by customers in the café. In my spare time I love taking my dog for long walks, I  also really enjoy gardening, going swimming and spending time with my  family.”

Education and Community Worker

"The work that Signpost has done and continues to do both internationally and locally is really inspiring and I feel honoured to be part of the team. Having graduated from Abertay with a degree in nutrition I knew I wanted to work within community settings doing food projects.  As a Dundee local I am very exciting to be linking up with schools and local families to deliver food, cooking and nutrition programmes and give back to the city I grew up in. I hope that my workshops and classes will bring the joy of cooking to families and will reduce the financial strain many are facing by learning how to cook, grow food and shop more sustainably. In my free time I enjoy going to gigs, walking while listening to a podcast and I love cats, crocheting and country music!”
