Community fridge - starting december 3rd

Open from 2pm to 3pm every Wednesday starting December 3rd at The Roundhouse, Lothian Crescent. The community fridge is a simple way for us to distribute surplus food to ensure it doesn't go to waste. Registration to use the community fridge is open in the cafe area from 1.30pm.

What can you expect?

Every week we will have a range of frozen, ambient and dried goods available to choose from. For a £2 donation on a first come first serve basis you can select around 10 items (depending on stock levels / users). These items can be meat, bread, cakes, veg, sanitary products etc.

Alongside our community fridge we will have our cafe space open from 1.30pm until 3.30pm. You can use the cafe space whether your a community fridge user or not, all are welcome. There will be self serve hot & cold drinks and light refreshments available.

Our Mission

Feeding bellies not bins, almost all of our food in the community fridge comes from surplus stock - destined to go to landfill unless used. We want to ensure that doesn't happen, so far over the last 4 years we've stopped over 29 tonnes of food going to landfill. We need your help in coming, using the food up and supporting us in reducing food waste.
